Dear ACMEGS member, dear colleague,
It is my pleasure to invite you to come to 6th
annual ACMEGS meeting to be held in San Antonio in Texas from February 8-9, 2012. The highlight of the 2012 meeting is the Clinical MEG Course that provides up to
7 CME AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. This course was designed especially for our colleagues who want
to engage into clinical MEG or who are relatively new to the field.
Registration Fee:
The course registration fee is $200, and for our members with 2011 institutional
membership (please check here) it will be only $150, for our associate members it will only be $100.00. For more details check
our web site.
The meeting registration fee for ACMEGS members with 2011 institutional membership (please check here) as well as for associate members is $75, for ACMEGS members from all other sites $150.
Non-members are
welcome to join our sessions following the business meeting for a reduced fee of $75.
The registration fee for
our members includes meeting materials as well as the traditional society dinner. Please RSVP at our website
if you plan to attend the society dinner.
Registrations fee as well as membership fee can be paid electronically via our
web site. We accept checks only for on-site registration.
Call for Abstracts:
As part of the 2012 annual meeting of the American Clinical
MEG Society, there will be a scientific poster session. We will invite again selected posters from our
colleagues from ACNS. Please send your abstracts (limited to 250 words in the text body) to michael.funke@hsc.utah.edu before January 9, 2011, so that appropriate presentation
space can be reserved. Poster size will be 8’ wide by 4’ tall.
As part of the poster session,
there will be a special opportunity for you to highlight hardware gadgets your team has designed to aid in MEG experiments
(e.g., special response switches, interface boxes, etc.). We would also like to encourage you to present
on software packages you have developed for MEG data analysis. A primary goal of this special hardware/software
section is to help make everyone aware of what is out there so that each lab can stop reinventing wheels that others have
perfected
Accommodations:
ACMEGS
has reserved a block of rooms at the San Antonio Marriot Rivercenter. Registrants may make their room reservations
through the ACNS website www.acns.org
Reservations are subject to availability.
Room rates can only be guaranteed until January 10, 2012. Rates are $204 Single or Double plus charges
and tax.
Transportation:
The Marriot Rivercenter hotel does NOT provide shuttle services. You need to plan for alternative transportation
from the airport.
The San
Antonio International Airport is located just 8 miles from the hotel. The airport is served by most major
airlines. To get to the hotel from the airport, taxis are readily available (cost of fare to the hotel
is approximately $22 each way), or you can take the Airport Express shuttle (210.281-9900) for $18, one way.
I look forward seeing you
all in San Antonio in February 2012.
Michael E Funke, M.D., Ph.D.
President, ACMEGS
