History

ACMEGS was founded in the Spring of 2006 as a non-profit corporation by clinicians using magnetoencephalography in patient care.  The society is a 501c(6) organization which allows us to educate private individuals and United States government policymakers about MEG reimbursement issues and appropriate patient care standards.

Currently, the ACMEGS has members from more than 20 clinical MEG sites across the country.  Our society complements other professional societies like the American Epilepsy Society (AES), American Academy of Neurology (AAN), American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), as well as international organizations like the International Society for the Advancement of Clinical MEG (ISACM).
